Message #00512
battery drain rate always 0
What can one do in order to see the rate the battery is drained if it
always shows 0?
I have Ubuntu 10.10 - HP Pavilion dm4t-1100 (i5 460; Intel/Ati 5470)
For example:
$ acpi -i
Battery 0: Discharging, 99%, discharging at zero rate - will never fully
discharge.
Battery 0: design capacity 4944 mAh, last full capacity 4944 mAh = 100%
The only way I can see if the rate has changed if I look at the graph
after 15 minutes in the battery panel indicator and the angle of the
line showing the current charge will change. But this is too long time
to wait for doing experiments.
$ cat /proc/acpi/battery/BAT0/state
present: yes
capacity state: ok
charging state: discharging
present rate: 0 mA
