[Bug 1310303] [NEW] Ubuntu 14.04 does not recognize my FujiFilm FinePix S1600 camera any more

Public bug reported:

Description:	Ubuntu 14.04 LTS
Release:	14.04

Hi,

Since the upgrade to 14.04 yesterday, I can't access my camera (FujiFilm
FinePix S1600) anymore. This is what is logged into /var/log/syslog when
I plug the camera in the usb port:

Apr 20 17:04:55 mm-xx kernel: [20993.276918] usb 3-2: new high-speed USB device number 9 using xhci_hcd
Apr 20 17:04:55 mm-xx kernel: [20993.462654] usb 3-2: New USB device found, idVendor=04cb, idProduct=0208
Apr 20 17:04:55 mm-xx kernel: [20993.462664] usb 3-2: New USB device strings: Mfr=0, Product=2, SerialNumber=3
Apr 20 17:04:55 mm-xx kernel: [20993.462670] usb 3-2: Product: USB PTP
Apr 20 17:04:55 mm-xx kernel: [20993.462674] usb 3-2: SerialNumber: 592D34383231100825DC350UR45112
Apr 20 17:04:55 mm-xx mtp-probe: checking bus 3, device 9: "/sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:14.0/usb3/3-2"
Apr 20 17:04:55 mm-xx mtp-probe: bus: 3, device: 9 was not an MTP device
Apr 20 17:04:55 mm-xx colord: Device added: sysfs-(null)

But there is no icon in the Nautilus to open the camera and copy the
images.

When I remove the usb cable, this shows in syslog:

Apr 20 17:05:33 mm-xx colord: device removed: sysfs-(null)
Apr 20 17:05:33 mm-xx kernel: [21031.599752] usb 3-2: USB disconnect, device number 9

Please help.
