It seems too complicated and not very useful IMHO... why not simply
a library precedence order?
Each specific parts could have also the substitution others, case supported and probably also the part number of the largest distributors for the List of Material.
And, BTW, did you know that's not too useful to store Farnell/RS order codes
since they vary all the time? Every time they buy a lot of stuff and the
price changes they allocate a new catalog number!
