I hope not.  This is one of those issues where the user needs to
understand the risks of using a PPA.  We certainly could check to make
sure the appropriate PPA is in the repo list but I would be leery of
setting automatically as part of the build script.  To be honest, I
would like to see the build script go away.  It was only provided to
make life a easier for users who wanted to use the latest and greatest
versions of kicad.  They should be commended for even attempting to
build kicad from source.  Once we have regular binary installers
available, there should be no need for this script.  Hopefully
developers are are savvy enough to build from source without using this
script.  Otherwise we have a different issue.
