It would be Very Cool to meet you Mike! I have not yet tried to book a
room, and can't recall if I asked the Ubuntu Community for funding. I did
announce the event a Long Time Ago in Discourse but it was ignored.

If you commit to traveling to Seattle, I'll go ahead and try to find a
hotel room for a couple of nights. I live over an hour out so trying to
travel back and forth is not practical for me. SeaTac has a train that
comes right up to the UW though, so flying into Seattle IS practical.

The UW campus is very walkable, and the U District is rather compact and
walkable, since students have been using it for a century. 😉
