Ok, revision 78 of lp:bzr-builder adds --append-version to allow this to
be done.

lp:~james-w/launchpad/recipe-append-version shows how it would be
integrated in to the build process. Someone can take this and integrate
it properly once the above is updated in sourcecode.

Has the model been updated yet to accomodate this feature?
