I use a VM for Launchpad dev, but from what I've heard LXC are lighter
weight (they don't pre-allocate the whole 1.5GB of memory for a whole
OS), and more isolated than chroots.

Mentions "LXC", but doesn't have documentation of actually implementing it.
I agree that a good first start would be to have a single container for
all of Launchpad, and then start splitting that out.
