Hi Anders,

this is not a bug. It's by design. Upstream uses both real \n (LF) and
quoted LF (\ + n) in its Grit strings.

As i said, i have to do a first conversion "Grit2GetText" to feed
Launchpad, then i convert back what i get from Launchpad to Grit using
another "GetText2Grit" function. I need a full bijection to minimize the
diff in order to have acceptable (minimal) diffs for upstream.

so i need to make sure that Grit2GetText(GetText2Grit(string)) == string

If i simply drop the \n in the gettext pot/po files, i can't go back the
original string.

Is this a problem for you?

Good work on the importer.
I noticed that is imports new lines as "\n" instead of an acctual new 
line, is this some thing you are planning to fix?
