Re: Lots of problems after successfull installation of 12.10
I found out this: On the samsung i installed from the launchpad the
package samsung-tools which restores the control over the
function-keys and gives some additional control over cpu and fan. So i
got back Suspend-to-disk (because after awaking the computer i can
manually activate wireless). Then i installed fglrx (which is the amd
driver for radeon) & cie and got back Suspend-to-ram.
This brought me to the idea, that suspend problems on the ppc might be
related as well to the video driver. Since there is not the fglrx
driver for the ppc platform, someone of the knowledged ppc people
here, knows about a way to tweak the built-in driver so that it might
re-give the suspend? Or is this thinking in the wrong direction?
Cheers, Uli
