debian installer (Lubuntu alternate, Ubuntu Server) is failing hard
and not being able to install the kernel. this has been confirmed for
all architectures. on the 10th, the image worked fine, but as of the
13th, that's not the case. in there something changed for the worst.

the bug has been given an importance but not yet triaged. seems that
given that final is available for testing we need to jump on this if
we are to fix it before release. not being a member of bugcontrol
(yet) i can't help, so i ask for your help, please!
