[Bug 1315841] [NEW] PDF plugin renders Mac Office 2011 PDF incorrectly on Chrome

Public bug reported:

For a combination of PDF files and a browser, Mahara PDF plugin renders
PDF files incorrectly. Namely, fonts are unreadably magnified and
overlap.

This consistently occurs for
-PDF files generated by Mac Office 2011, either with Save as PDF or Print to PDF
and
-Google Chrome 34, Windows and OSX
and does not occur for
-PDF files generated by Office 2010 and dvipdfmx
or
-Firefox

I find this possible bug on my installation of Mahara 1.9.1testing
running on Debian GNU/Linux 7.0.
