Re: Status report on OpenERP CMS branch trunk-website-al....

Thank you all for participating in discussion...

From personnal involvement in this branch, I can only say that work so far looks great, with lots of potential...

For those who want to test it in local environment... anonimous browsing is working fine now. As Fabien said, you only need to add this parameter when starting the server --db-filter=my_database

Fabien, Antony... please follow up on licensing issues raised by Raphaël... Is there a way to create a website for a customer that the customer can keep legally "private" ?

Also, the login process doesn't feel integrated to "website" as it breaks styles, headers/footers, themes... Could you please create a "website login" that hides the normal login to the ERP, or provide hints on the best way to achieve this?

Finally, as you are talking about documentation, please include guidelines and samples on how to create new website widgets or modify existing ones...

Raphaël, I will be waiting for news about your developments. I am sure you will surprise us all !!

Thanks again and keep it up!!

Regards,
-Mario

Quick questions... we will need some kind of "light user" for web customers,
so they can eventually check order status, RMAs, enrollment to events...
They won't have access to the full system as they will be limited to website
front end... similar to "portal" users...

Do you already have this in your roadmap?
How will they count towards monthly cost of OPW ?

Yes, they actually are portal users (group portal). No, portal user are not counted.

We have simple policy, only employee are counted as OE users. When we says employee we mean somebody part of "base.group_user", they may not be employee of the company but they work internally for the company.

Also, anonymous navigation is still not working, you need to go to /web and
log-in to be able to navigate the website elements...

I think it's now fixed. We now have a test case that check for all the pages loggued and not loggued.
