I am not the first Java Lover ;-) but i saw this some time ago [Not tested
yet and I don't know if it works with the privative or the OpenSource
version of Pentaho.]:

May be it works for your case.

Take into account openerp is building a new way to manage graph views and
html reports (may be it has some relation but I am not sure yet)
