Hi David,

I've tested your scenario and found out: to do it by declaring sub
products seems to be the only way to handle it. And, to be honest, I
wonder if there is any ERP system offering another solution for it....
Attached a few screenshots. I chose one of the disassembled products
(handlebar) as the product to produce (product in BoM) and declared all
the rest as sub products

When I open a new MO everything looks fine: 
products to consume = COMPBIKE
finished products = "handlebar" / "fork" / "2x wheel" etc....

So: should work like this!
