continuing the install process after commenting out python-ldap, the
next problem is PyXML

First, base XML is already installed:
Help on package xml:

DESCRIPTION
    This package contains four sub-packages:
    
    dom -- The W3C Document Object Model.  This supports DOM Level 1 +
           Namespaces.
    
    parsers -- Python wrappers for XML parsers (currently only supports Expat).
    
    sax -- The Simple API for XML, developed by XML-Dev, led by David
           Megginson and ported to Python by Lars Marius Garshol.  This
           supports the SAX 2 API.
    
    etree -- The ElementTree XML library.  This is a subset of the full
           ElementTree XML release.

Adding PyXML 0.8.4 to easy-install.pth file
Installing xmlproc_val script to /usr/bin
Installing xmlproc_parse script to /usr/bin

Installed /usr/lib/python2.6/site-
packages/PyXML-0.8.4-py2.6-solaris-2.11-i86pc.egg

seems your PyXML is no longer supported on source forge, as I get the
following attached shots trying to figure this mess out...
