Public bug reported:

When i want to import a large amount of pictures in order to make a
movie with it (select + 320 pics at once), openshot keeps hanging and
takes over an hour to import

when trying to import these pictures not at once but in smaller amounts
to get them all imported, openshots suddenly crashes and shuts down, or
keeps hanging ...
