Thanks for staying on top of this guys, it is quite important.
I have no objections to using GitHub and also think Giuseppe's efforts 
to save the forge contents would be good.

As for moving the randgen itself to GitHub, no huge problems there 
either...in fact, OpenStack migrated code hosting from launchpad to Git 
not too long ago.

At one point, I had notions of converting the docs to Sphinx format as I 
also had concerns about forge (and Drizzle / Percona uses Sphinx 
heavily), but this should be easier : )
