Not sure what exactly in your mind? funding for what exactly?

I'm involved with many communities so either I can ask them or you could 
join the mailing list and explain what you have in mind. Also, Ubuntu 
Forums - The Cafe might be a good place to spread the word.

But again, what exactly are you guys trying to achieve?
