Message #00438
Fedora 11
Hi everybody.
I've recently installed Fedora 11 on my vaio z11.
Here I'm just reporting what's new (or seems to be new compared to Fedora 10).
New things working :
- the FN keys work (mostly all !!), the brightness works (with intel
anyway), the sleep FN key works too, but it doesn't recover correctly
(very buggy)
- the intel card works wether the switch is on STAMINA or on nothing !
Still not working :
- the Zoom+/- FN keys (not sure what's it about ...)
- hot switching (we can dream of it ...)
- a less buggy intel graphic driver, and the sleep key less buggy too !
I couldn't make the intel card work before if the switch wasn't on
STAMINA and working. Now, I can use the computer, whatever state the
switch is on (even if it is off).
Hope to see more improvement like this in the next kernel release !
Alexandre Kaspar
PS : it's not a very new kernel at all
uname -a gives me :
Linux localhost.localdomain 2.6.29.6-217.2.8.fc11.i686.PAE #1 SMP Sat
