Excuse me, I have only told you what i know from Sony:

and I have used it a while, I did not see any difference else then the
free VT and the closed efi-hole. Else I did not notice any different
behaviour.

That wisdom was not from me, it was told here in the mailing list. I
myself have no experiences with Windows 7 on Vaio-Z.

Simply try R2168M3 again and look if you can switch it the way you need
it whith unlocked advanced settings.
