Re: Compressed image file with ToriOS, forked from: custom tarballs

 

HI All,
I sent some changes to our xinitrc and starttorios to lp, and sent the
request to build.
So, you can update soon and try to redo the tarball experience.

These changes are an experiment to see if everything will work
correctly.  Nothing should break with this update, but I want to be
clear that we are trying to fix a bug, and something may go awry.

That said, I mainly made logging better, and test things better before
running them.  As well as trying to run certain things a bit differently.

The main change I made before it broke was:
Set themes a nicer way (using gsettings rather than a .config folder
that can destroy everything)
-this might still be causing some issues, but I don't entirely see why
if it is.

If there is a better alternative to this (we cannot use the old .config
method, as it breaks existing installs of other DE) and you know, please
let me know :)
