Hi Israel,
I tested in an installed ToriOS system with the Swedish locale.
After update & dist-upgrade the whole menu is there now (without
reloading) :-)
But I don't understand how to use torios-appearance. I tried a few
things, and it seemed to accept my tweaks, but nothing happened to the
look and feel. Please tell me what you expect to work, so that I can
test that particular feature.
Best regards
Nio
Hi Nio,
I'll give more detailed instructions soon.
I am finishing up some tweaks, and trying to make sure major bugs are
out of the way initially.
Also, I do not plan on abandoning jwm-settings-manager I mostly mean to
get something simple and stable that does not require compilation, and
will run on a variety of platforms using multiple dialogs.
One of the main issues I will face is color choosers that are not yad.
Yad is nice and returns html colors (basically hexidecimal color values).
I will devote time to jwm-settings-manager in the future, but currently
i have been programming in bash so much that I decided this was the
easiest way to make something cross architecture that will work
regardless of distribution (jwm-settings-manager uses cmake which has
issues with fltk on certain distros)
This will allow us more flexibility (ToriOS as a DE running on any
distro) and allow the users to hack things, and learn from the OS.
Once I get a few more things in place (basic panel editing) I will send
an e-mail with more specific testing. There is a newer version now, but
I will be rebuilding again periodically.
