This reminds me of this:

" that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong,
neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding,
nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happens to them all."

Even if you were the fastest strongest wisest richest you may very well
not succeed.  There are plenty of examples I can think of from my
country where the weak or poor have triumphed to become pillars of
historical achievement.

So, I think it is good for us to just continue working and doing our
best not because we want to be the most /AMAZING GNU PEOPLE EVER/....
but because we really just want to make a light operating system that
will help people who are too poor to buy a new computer!

My old ME-era machine is very usable (except flash).  I can get on the
internet, I can compose documents, make art, make music... all because I
have an operating system that is running with very little RAM.
