Hi everyone, I have been testing this on my iBook to see where I am at as I build things. I have found a few more issues in adding panels, and configuring them. The are fairly minor to fix, but none are entirely detrimental... however trying to resize the panel's width or height does crash the program... This is bad :( but it shouldn't be entirely too hard to fix. And as of yet I can only add one shortcut per time. I think this is an issue of when I save/load everything. I know that the program itself can be vastly improved to use memory rather than disk access to perform most of these options... however as of this current version, this is what we use. That said... this is many times snappier than Lubuntu is. I like Lubuntu, but this is very quick, and runs very smoothly. With LightDM installed the system is using 209MB running JWM... that is unacceptable for ToriOS. At most I have had 100MB usage on ToriOS and that was installing it using OBI. Running it usually uses around 70MB, fairly consistently sometimes 60 sometimes close to 80... but that is with running volume, network and power-management. I'll be interested to see what ToriOS can do on this old PPC once we get a good build for it.... not sure how this is exactly possible... BUT I want to try. Ali, can you see if we can use Ubuntu to build PPC images??? I suppose we need at least a Beta out for that :P ... -- Regards -Israel ToriOS Team
