Just took a look online at that one. Their bottom of the range desktop
is quite a bit below the spec of the new box I got pcspecialist to put
together for me last month. Without an OS, it came not much more than
half the Linux Emporium price. They give a full guarantee, but give no
support to Linux at all, so if its a hardware problem, they're fine.
Software, and you're on your own. I can run with that!
Does anyone know if there are efforts going on to get UK suppliers
offering low and mid-range machines with Ubuntu pre-installed? If so
can we help by pestering them a little? "I really want a new computer,
I like your [whatever]. Can you offer me one with Ubuntu?"
