we must make a decision: do we want gnome vanilla over the ubuntu
repository or we want a ubuntu with gnome shell instead of unity?

both ideas are good, but they are at odds. I think a poll open to the
mailing list is the best thing.

1 gnome OS over ubuntu repo is like gnome reference iso but using
ubuntu packages and repository
2 ubuntu with gnome shell is ubuntu without unity and with gnome-shell package
