Mi pensas ke la uzo "sink" devenas el alia signifo de la angla vorto, kiu  
pli/malpli egalas la saman esperantan vorton "sinki". Do, mi proponus aŭ  
"sinkujo" aŭ "sinkejo", aŭ alia derivo de "sinki"...

"Produktantojn kaj konsumantojn de datumoj oni nomas fontaj kaj sinkaj  
(sinkujaj/skinkejaj?) elementoj"

"Sink elements are end points in a media pipeline" -> "Sinkujoj estas  
finpunktoj en aŭdvidea ĉenstablo(/datumodukto?)".

La senso estas kiel datumoj fluas de fonto al pli malsupra punkto. Se iu  
scian bonan tradukon de la angla "heatsink", la senso similas.
