I absolutely agree with this. Software Centre is an important part of
Lucid and we really should be making sure new users are using this
first then moving to Synaptic if the application cannot be found in
Software Centre. Command line should only be used when absolutely
required.

Bug description:
On page 143, the method of package management 'apt-get' is used, while the package management section starting from page 127 is using aptitude.
There was a discussion in the wiki team which to use and they came to the rule: use apt-get. It would be a very strange move for the manual to use aptitude instead.
I know this is a controversial subject, but I think that for the sake of consistency between manual and wiki, the manual must use apt-get.
