+1

Changing the background is a simple customization that can have a big impact on
people's impression of the phone. It may sound dumb, but when I was finally able
to change the background on my phone to a favorite picture of mine, it really
made me happy and feel good about what we are doing. All of a sudden it was 'my
phone' and not just some pre-release tech. Phones are deeply personal: we have
them with us all the time, we talk to family with them, text our friends with
them, check movie times and dinner reservations, make plans with them, etc. Why
would we want to take a simple, yet meaningful, customization away from people?
People will know if they picked a background that doesn't work for them....
