Yeah, I don't want to disable the screen lock. (Perhaps I might want to up the timeout if it's short, but that's another matter.) What I want to do is recognize when a tap is meant to avoid an imminent lock, and not trigger a page turn in response. This could happen with the system consuming that tap event, so that app never sees it. It could happen with the app being notified that the screen had dimmed. It could happen with the app polling the screen brightness to determine that the screen had dimmed. I'm sure there are other possibilities.
