This might just be one of the cases where there's no other way than to
let the processes spawned by the app continue, but the UI of the
terminal app can still be stopped, provided that stdio can be handled still.

This probably depends on the configuration, but it actually sounds weird
that a connection that no traffic was sent through would hold after 40
minutes...
