I totally agree. Have been tricked by that too and was wondering why
sending mails wouldn't work for a while.

Perhaps it would make more sense to report those on Launchpad. That way
you could be sure the developers aren't missing them. It's easy to miss
an email on a mailing list, while the bug reports on launchpad stick
with the project.
