Re: Ackkk! The world is ending!!!
From the video keynote
"Deutsche Telekom is transitioning large parts of their telephony
network to Ubuntu OpenStack cloud infrastructure. AT&T (and) Time-Warner
Cable (are) all building their core business services on a private cloud
built on OpenStack and Ubuntu."
So how well might Ubuntu phones (with Qualcomm chips) fit within a
Ubuntu telephony network, as operated by the likes of Deutche Telekom,
At& T et al ...?
What might that mean for security, updates, and ...
With Qualcomm chips running native Ubuntu, what does that mean for OEMs
like Samsung discontinuing updates a year or two after release?
