[RSS Reader] Some design proposals
Hi,
I've uploaded a couple of design proposals for the RSS Reader to the wiki:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Touch/CoreApps/RSSReader#Design
They are not made in MyBalsamiq because I found it a bit hard to work
with, but I'd be happy to move it there if that's preferable.
Currently I've just uploaded a view of Today's feeds where I propose we
could use the tabbed navigation in Ubuntu Touch to show more items. I.e.
the user swipes left to show the next four items. This is in other words
an alternative to the mosaic-type of navigation proposed on MyBalsamiq
(and in Joey Chen's branch), but personally I prefer the regular, clean
list for RSS feeds. The mosaic navigation is really neat for photos, but
doesn't suit text as much in my opinion.
In addition, I've uploaded a view showing a single feed item, layed out
in a news article style. Because we are developing for phones, I found
it best to let the text and images fill the screen width rather than
float side by side.
Any thoughts on this? I think we should discuss what kind of main layout
we prefer to coordinate the upcoming development. (Unless there has been
made a decision already?)
I'll also see if I can start working on a test version in QML so we can
play around with the implementation directly.
Best regards,
Svenn-Arne
