We can't base our "opening" on GNOME schedule nor on the Ubuntu Doc
one, 'casuse string freeze for GNOME will be in February and March for
Ubuntu Doc, really too late for other translations to happen.

I'm just throwing there ideas: what about opening them in January?
We can have all November and December to look at the import queue plus
have devs do substantial imports, and that gives 4 months of work for
the translation teams. BTW, GNOME in January will enter string and UI
change announcement period, some kind of "warning" period before UI
and string freeze.

Anyway, every date could be a valid date, the problem of not working
close with upstream still remains since the freeze for GNOME and the
doc will happen late in the cycle. I don't know about KDE and their
release cycle though, and also which version on KDE will be in the
10.04.

On a not-so-side note, can't we have some sort of "banner" in the
translation templates page? I know this will clutter the interface and
probably UI team will not agree, but in that way we could have some
kind of warning (like the "follow the team guidelines").

Cool, great info page. Will try to take a look at the import queue
this week-end.
