Re: CD Pack ordered

 

A lot goes on besides handing out CDs. Most of the event is really just
meeting other people interested in Ubuntu, some food, and having a good
time. We've done installations on laptops before as well. We've had mini LAN
gaming on the Easton network. By the last release events, most of the time
was spent just talking and meeting people, and those that originally came
just to pick up a couple of CDs stayed for a while.

In the past, it has all died down towards 9pm. Some are there at 5 and stay
the whole time, some drop by for a few minutes. 6pm was typically when the
most people were there.

There's nothing you need to bring besides yourself and maybe some cash for
food. A few people bring laptops, though I won't be this time around (dead
battery :-o). I was going to find pictures of previous events, but the links
seem to be dead. This topic might give you an idea, though:
