Re: Problems re-installing U1

Thanks to Fabrizio I've managed to reinstall it.

I still have the same problem, the files on my machine do not match what's on the web. Files copied into ~/Ubuntu One do not get replicated.

I'll submit a bug today.

it contains the apt directives and has been changed from the previous version. To can download it directly from one.ubuntu.com <http://one.ubuntu.com>, following the directions about "how to install" But, at least from Italy, this evening seems that the site is unavailable...

    Thanks Fabrizio, my system can't seem to find it:

    root@leeds:/etc# cat /etc/lsb-release
    DISTRIB_ID=Ubuntu
    DISTRIB_RELEASE=9.04
    DISTRIB_CODENAME=jaunty
    DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION="Ubuntu 9.04"

    root@leeds:/etc# apt-get install ubuntuone-jaunty-ppa.deb
    Reading package lists... Done
    Building dependency tree
    Reading state information... Done
    E: Couldn't find package ubuntuone-jaunty-ppa.deb

        E.g. If you use jaunty:
        *ubuntuone-jaunty-ppa.deb.*
        It solved in my case

        Sorry, but now the ubuntuone site is not available, i cannot
        post the righ url.
        (if you are unable to find it, i can send by email: it is a very
        light package)

           I said:

           So I thought I would uninstall ubuntuone and then reinstall
        it (to
           get back to a known baseline).

           # sudo aptitude remove python-ubuntuone-client\
            python-ubuntuone-storageprotocol ubuntuone-client\
            ubuntuone-client-gnome ubuntuone-ppa-beta

           Now, attempts to install it fail:

           tonyw@leeds:~$ sudo apt-get install ubuntuone-client
           Reading package lists... Done
           Building dependency tree
           Reading state information... Done
           Package ubuntuone-client is not available, but is referred to by
           another package.
           This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
           is only available from another source
           However the following packages replace it:
            python-ubuntuone-client
           E: Package ubuntuone-client has no installation candidate

           Anyone have any idea what I've done wrong?

               Cool. If you're looking for beta-readers, I'll bet this list
               has plenty of volunteers.

               Okay. Thanks for the information. I had several things
        going
               on at once - let me get back to a known baseline and I'll
        keep
               an eye out for it.
