Maybe a small bin in the dash somewhere labelled 'uninstall'? Or a 
button by the filters menu that switches to 'uninstall mode' that makes 
a small cross/minus appear at the top right of an icon (a la Samsung 
phones)? For some, dragging to the trash in the panel could be a long 
way, so maybe this wouldn't be the best option.
