Thorsten Wilms and Shane Lee, Thumbs up for the infos.
the shading is entirely good on the chrome only.

is top panel hardcoded?? i would like to see winged panel housing the
appindicators, with the title bar of the maximized windows blended
perfectly. then the shaded effect of the title bar would not be a big
problem. Also it has another advantage, the winged panel and title bar are
different. i mean, the titlebar does not need to be quasi ie., top panel
and title bar at the same time.
