I guess the reason is that one (at least) of your interaction has zero
normal or shear stiffness. It is easy to check inside your elastic
energy loop.
Once this is confirmed, you'll have to wonder / ask why zero stiffness
are computed. But then you'll be one step forward !

PS : in case you're a little disappointed whith the answer delay, please
do your best to shorten a lot the copied-pasted script: I guess noone
gave a close look to it -- because with such length it is from far too
much time consuming even for the well intentioned yade users..
