Re: Where I install ditaa plugin ?

I see, compiled version doesn't contain this file... Maybe it
compiled to binary format. You may use Zim from source, here is a
step-by-step description for previous version (it works for actual
version too): https://lists.launchpad.net/zim-wiki/msg03080.html [1]

In some manual
page says that plugins should be copied to python's site-package folder

IF A PLUGIN IS DISTRIBUTED AS A SEPARATE PYTHON MODULE, IT SHOULD BE
INSTALLED
SUCH THAT ZIM CAN FIND IT. FOR USE SPECIFIC PLUGINS YOU CAN
INSTALL THEM
PYTHON'S "PER USER SITE-PACKAGE DIRECTORY".

FOR EXAMPLE
FOR PYTHON 2.6 THIS FOLDER IS:
UNIX (INCLUDING MAC OS X):
''~/.LOCAL/LIB/PYTHON2.6/SITE-PACKAGES''
WINDOWS:
''%APPDATA%/PYTHON/PYTHON26/SITE-PACKAGES'

So, do I need to have
Python installed for running plugins ?
It's confusing so far ...

Hi, I use this method:

1. Copy ditaa somewhere (e.g. _C:Program Files (x86)Ditaa) _and add
that directory to the PATH

2. Edit _C:Program Files (x86)Zim Desktop
Wikizimpluginsditaaeditor.py _file in a text-editor (notepad, for
example)_:_

Find an comment (or delete) next line (somewhere in the
top of the file):

dotcmd = ('ditaa')

replace it or add to the next
line:

dotcmd = ('java -jar "C:\Program Files
(x86)\Ditaa\ditaa0_9.jar"')

3. That's it, restart Zim and check
Ditaa-plugin.

Best regards

Hi,

%appdata% then
zimdatazimplugins

If the directories do not exist, you need to create
them.

I think, I will build a little plugin which helps importing
plugins…

Where I install ditaa plugin ?

Hi there

I'm running Zim on Windows,
and want to try the ditaa plugin.

I've downloaded ditaa, which is
just a jar file

But I don't know where to copy it in order to be
recognized by Zim

First I've put it in the same directory where the
book is.

Then I've copied it in a directory in the path variable

Nothing worked.

So, where is the right location for plugins ?

Thanks
