Neilen!

The easiest way is probably to take the present meshconverter test and expand it with your stuff. 

I am not sure where this reside in a binary distributed version of dolfin, maybe others could help you? 

I will also be away from work a couple of days now so I won't be able to answer detailed questions until after the weekend.
