With volume, I usually want to increase the volume gradually, often
for a quiet section of a video where I'm having trouble catching the
words. On the other hand, when something is too loud I usually
want to decrease the volume rapidly (e.g. if my other half is trying
to talk to me). I guess in some cases I'd then want to go back to
the original volume and Moovida/Elisa makes that a bit harder.

In practise I don't change the volume very often at all - we tend to
watch TV shows in batches, so the volume is fine for a season at
a time. This means I haven't really needed to change the volume
very often.

While searching for a particular scene when I couldn't recall where it
was exactly I was going back and forward (returning to where I was,
trying to keep track of the time line in my head).

An example might be when you need to go for a "comfort break"
or to get a drink, and you think there is a big scene change
coming up soon which would be a good point to stop. You skip
ahead to check (and decide if you'll watch until the end of the
scene or not), and then skip back to the previous position to
continue watching the rest of the scene (or pause now for your
break).

Me too.

What was your install using? The default 60s/60s skip? That used
to really annoy me (enough to make the change and submit it).
Assuming you changed it too, it sounds like your settings will
have much more testing (and by more poeple) than just me. I've
had my machine using 20s/20s for a while, but haven't actually
played that many videos on Moovida recently. In comparison I
haven't tried the 10s/30s setup much at all.
