Yes, that's exactly what I was noticing with Ian. He needs to either:
1- apply for the list then remember to come back to the task the next
day in the hope it's been approved, or
2- send the announcement before people can actually use the link -
therefore essentially foisting the same handoff onto all of them.
Also, I may be wrong, but there may be a delay over the weekend when
there are no Launchpad Canonical staff working - but many users do
their open source hacking on the weekend.
