Actually, I don't think it's true to say that the fridge editors
"need" to be part of lp-beta. One of the team members, who also works
on Launchpad, is trying out the new Launchpad beta mailing list
function with the fridge team. However, it's not true as far as I know
that participation in that test is a requirement for fridge editors.

As I say, where Launchpad policies are getting in the way of
contributing to Ubuntu, they can be (and have in the past been)
discussed. But I don't think this particular one does affect the
Ubuntu project, which is why it'd be a shame to lose HggdH from that
project on the basis of the issue under discussion.
