Re: Fwd: ISO Testing Screencast
Appreciate the encouragement Phill, and the history.
Looking forward to contributing what I can to the team effort. I can see that you work well together. Though I'm not that familiar with the formal process of software development, I've been playing around with computers for many years. Over that time, I've stood in awe over how far Ubuntu and it's variations have come. Hats off to Canonical and to the many volunteers world wide who have made this operating system what it has now become - a serious contender, fully ready for today's technology, and yet able to make old computers useable once more.
You're right. That sort of effort doesn't just happen. With so much input from so many different people, there has to be a way of making it all come together.
And you guys are doing just that.
Ron

From our just 'checking things worked' (which they did), we switched to having to file 'official' results. This was a steep learning curve for everyone involved, we were fortunate to have some testers familiar with 'official' testing. Flying by the seat of our pants, and with so much patience and help from both ubuntu-testing and ubuntu-release we got through. Fast forward to now... the Lubuntu-QA team are respected and valued in the community. We will, and have, help any other flavour; just as they have gone beyond the call of duty to help Lubuntu.
