I booted to the test kernel the other day. The system froze while
booted with the kernel from this package:
	linux-image-3.11.0-7-generic_3.11.0-7.14~lp1227202v1_amd64.deb

Otherwise, besides the kernel, the system was a normal install from the
daily ISO the other day. I have the latest kernel now,

Linux lubuntu 3.11.0-8-generic #15-Ubuntu SMP Fri
	Sep 20 04:11:26 UTC 2013 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

but have made the modifications that Mélodie suggested here:

	https://lists.launchpad.net/lubuntu-qa/msg03663.html

I can wipe the machine and install fresh from the betas tomorrow (Tues),
removing the modifications. Right now with Mélodie's modifications and
the #15 kernel, there have been no permanent freezes yet. Uptime 7:55
The only strange thing I see so far with this combination is that
Firefox and Thunderbird have both quit at the same time without warning
several times and sometimes the GUI seems to freeze occasionally, but
resume normal behavior after a few seconds.

As far as getting the machine to freeze on demand, Phill seems to have a
method using something from Zynga.

Regards,
/Lars
