Re: Lebt die Mailingliste noch?

Hallo Ralf,

I am the Technical Community Manager at OpenERP, and I happen to be a member of the German translation team, although I don't actually translate anything.
I might be able to answer some of your questions, but in English ;-)

I think it is still the official place to discuss translations. If it's not, it would be good to mention it on the description of the team at https://launchpad.net/~openerp-i18n-de

Rhythmus, Automatismus?

As soon as a translation is approved in the translation interface in Launchpad, it is included in the daily translation export. This means the new translations will be included in the official source code of OpenERP on the next morning. As OpenERP installation packages are re-built from the source code every night, it means they will be included in the auto-installers on openerp.com the next night, usually less than 48h after being validated.

In order to find a given term you have to know/guess in which of the three OpenERP projects it will be: addons, server or web, as mentioned in the guidelines:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/17cefNrfbefcUk8NAxgBVZsFiHqAhdArFnfH6hJtEzhk/edit

In this case you can find "Suche Leeren" in the translations of the "web" project, as it is part of the user interface generic "search":
https://translations.launchpad.net/openerp-web/7.0/+pots/web/de/+translate?batch=10&show=all&search=Suche+leeren

One way to have it easier is to download the source code of all 3 projects and perform a generic full-text search in the source code on your computer. This will let you find in which ".po" file the translation is located. Then you can go to the right project on Launchpad and change it.

I hope this helps,
