I've just posted an update on the v8 release progress, including the
translations:

More specifically I'm still working on fixing the translation export and
import process in 8.0 to make it work properly for the new Qweb templates
(i.e. all the website/eCommerce/blog/etc. translations).
It's almost ready.

I will push the new POT files on Launchpad as soon as I am sure that the
content will remain stable. If you export POT files right now yourself they
would contain a lot of noise and would not even work for QWeb templates
when you re-import them after translating!

I'd like to avoid making translators work for nothing, so I think it's
better to wait a little bit until I manage to finish fixing this. I'll
definitely announce it as soon as it is ready.

I'm sorry for the delay and I hope you understand the reasons,
