Re: ubuntu tech samsung backlight issue

HI, if any one still interested.

Fresh install of Ubuntu 10.10, voria repositories added, sudo apt-get
update, installed backlight and slowdown... and it is not working. After
rebooting, Fn+Up/Dn still provokes the sticked-keys effect. The brightness
applet for the panel is also not working.

Additionally I get random freezes with the screen + mouse frozen, in moments
with no extra CPU usage or anything like that. I suppose (from my poor
understanding of these matters) that is a graphic driver thing.

If the freezing thing persists I am installing 10.04 again.

I make around the brightness thing with the setpci command.

FYI,
